Channel 4 Props Up Immersive Entertainment Market

Channel 4 Ventures has invested £1.75 million in immersive entertainment company Layered Reality, promoting its experiences, including The Gunpowder Plot and Elvis Evolution, to Channel 4 audiences

Tapping into new revenue streams, Channel 4 Ventures – the broadcaster’s consumer investment arm – has struck a £1.75 million deal with immersive entertainment company Layered Reality. The collaboration will see Layered Reality’s immersive experiences advertised toward Channel 4 audiences.

Layered Reality’s latest offerings include The Gunpowder Plot, Jeff Wayne’s The War of the Worlds: The Immersive Experience and Elvis Evolution, which debuts in spring 2025. The Elvis-themed experience will combine AI, AR, live theatre and other 4D effects, bringing ‘the King’ back to life. Through Channel 4, Layered Reality hopes to reach a wider
net of potential patrons.
